Welcome to the Seventh Annual Meeting of the International Society for Evolution, Medicine, and Public Health to be held in Lisbon, Portugal, on 5-8 July 2022

Evolutionary Medicine is an integrative area bringing evolutionary biologists and medical scientists together to facilitate the application of concepts and approaches from evolutionary biology to medical research and medical practice. This field is growing rapidly and its relevance to society and medicine has been made all the more obvious with the recent pandemic.

ISEMPH 2022 welcomes researchers, clinicians, public health professionals, and students at all levels as well as anyone interested in this integrative view of evolutionary biology and medicine. The meeting will gather delegates from around the world. For many of us this will be the first opportunity in two years to reconnect, and to consolidate new and ongoing collaborations, while promoting important cross-talk among all disciplines that influence the field of Evolutionary Medicine.

ISEMPH sponsors annual meetings, the Oxford University Press journal Evolution, Medicine, & Public HealthThe Evolution and Medicine Review, EvMedEd, and ClubEvMed

Continuing Medical Education Credits (CME)

The Seventh annual meeting of the International Society for Evolution, Medicine, and Public Health, Lisbon, Portugal, 05/07/2022-08/07/2022 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 20 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/education/earn-credit-participation-international-activities.

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Interest in CME can be indicated on the congress registration form.
